Description

Cream wool printed with shaded ground of tiny black leaves, with allover pattern of "peacock eye" medallions in gold and blue; Bodice (A) - tucked net chemisette with high boned collar edged with satin and featherstitching; tucked cross over pouched front, with tucks at shoulders to waist forming "V" yoke at front and back; gathered at front and back waist; 3/4 length sleeves gathered at shoulders, full to turned back cuff trimmed with bands of tucked net (same as chemisette); fully lined with cotton inner bodice with button closure at center front and drawstring waist; Skirt (B) - narrow, pleated pink silk waistband; smocking all around, fourteen tucks around hem; fully lined with white cotton, with pleated dust ruffle, hook and eye at center back; skirt just touches ground, with slight train at back.
