Description

Swag valance gathered intermitantly with rosettes of red and white copper plate cotton with linen backing of scenes of "Louis XVI restaurateur de la Libertie" with central image of seated Louis XVI in Roman armour with lion at his feet welcoming "Liberty" accompanied by Mars & Minerva, next to him is woman holding a cap of liberty on the end of a pine--to the right are a "citizen" and Mercury--above is a cartouche with two men plowing, with other smaller scenes around this motif.
