White clay body with buff colored under glaze ground. Molded body in rectangular form with ribbed and lobed corners on sides that cant inward to conforming flat well. Decorated with blank transfer printed decoration: “Mr. Pickwick in the Pound”, taken from “Pickwick” by Charles Dickens, 1837/original illustrations by R. Seymour + PHIZ
