Description

Wrapper. Cotton pique; vertical paisley stripe (paisley's in blue and green on red ground) alternates with abstract blue and green shapes with scrolled borders on black ground; front yoke and gathered below; standing collar; piping at shoulders, armscye, yoke waist; long sleeves pleated at shoulder; cartridge pleats at back; waistband at back only with ties attached at side seams; dress has printed border of paisleys and scrolls on red and black ground along center front and around hem; covered buttons center front to hem (opening stitched closed near hem - probably open all the way, at one time); inner bodice of beige cotton twill (boning has been removed) has raw edge; back, sleeves and skirt lined with brown cotton printed with blue and green ovals arranged in rows.
