Description

Earthenware plate with scalloped rim with scroll molding. Plate is transfer-printed with red "Harvard College" pattern depicting Harvard Yard; Stoughton, Harvard, Hollis, and Holworthy Halls; and Holden Chapel. A man on horseback rides in the field in front of the buildings as people in Victorian-style dress look on from the foreground. Border pattern of flowers and fruit, including cherries, raspberries, and peaches.
