Description

Dowel-backed porch rocking chair with simple arched crest rail between cylindrical canted stiles with egg finials and ring turnings; shaped plank arm terminating in front stile arm support with ring and vase turnings below arms continuing to a tapered point before being doweled into the rockers; each side with two plain stretchers; two ring and vase turned stretchers at front, one at back; simple rockers; painted black or very dark green overall except seat; woven seat of narrow splint.
