A) Plain six-board nailed box; lid attached with brass wire pintle-type hinge, closing with hook on top of lid into loop through lid; inside lid with paper label "A TABLE of the Weight and Value of Coins, as they pass in New England" giving equivalents for different coins, e.g. "A Guinea," "Half Johannes," and "Dollar." Bottom lined with coarse green wool and sectioned to hold brass weights. B) Steel-armed balance with two round flat brass pans suspended by three green cords with pink tassels at arm joins.
