Description

Earthenware plate with black transfer-printed "Texian Campaigne" pattern depicting soldiers with bayonet, cannon, and on horseback. Border pattern of flowers, ribbon, the goddess Ceres and trophy figures. The series depicts battle field scenes commemorating the Texas revolution for independence from Mexico (1835-1836).
