A pair of bronze leather shoes with a beaded design along the vamp, pointed toes, 2 ¼ inch heels, center back seams, and elasticized sides.
Walk Right In 11/98-3/99 According to the donor, this pair of dancing slippers was purchased in London and worn in New England. Elastic or "gore" panels sewn into the sides of the shoes were improvements to make them easier to put on and better fitting. The black beads seewn in a trellis pattern on the tops are made of jet, a fossilized coal.
