Black-and-white photograph of three side chairs. The first (#229) is a William and Mary-style side chair with a straight crest rail; rectangular caned panel; spiral twist turned stiles with rectangular blocks at crest rail and ball finials; upholstered seat; straight seat rails; spiral twist turned legs with rectangular blocks at junctions with stretchers; turned pear feet; and spiral twist turned front, rear and H-stretchers.The next side chair (#0 / 69) has a tall upholstered back with arched crest and projecting flared ears; square stiles extending into rear legs; fully upholstered seat with curved front rail; front legs with block and spiral twist turnings; disc feet; and spiral twist turned double front and H-stretchers. Final side chair (#769) has canted back with shaped arched crest rail; rectangular caned panel; straight lower rail; stiles and legs with rectangular block, vasiform and ring turnings; ball finials on stiles; and rectangular H-stretcher. Handwritten notes on page include wood type and abovementioned A. H. Davenport Co. detail numbers.
