Room Model

Untitled model of room interior rendered in watercolor and graphite on two-ply board. Four sides fold up to create a three-dimensional room interior. Room has a parquet floor laid in a herringbone pattern, partially covered by a green, cream and rose Oriental carpet. Walls have pale gray marbleized fielded paneling; flame mahogany six-panel doors, carved door casings; and intricate moldings. One wall has three six-over-six windows with full-length green brocade draperies and scalloped cornices with gold fringe trim; two Chippendale-style pier mirrors with broken scroll pediment are hung on the wall between the mirrors. Another wall has two doors flanking a heavily embellished fireplace. The other two walls have two and one doors, respectively. These three walls are hung with portraits.
