Description

Untitled design drawing rendered in pencil on trace. Front and side views are shown. William and Mary-style side chair has back which cants backward; heavily carved scrolled crest rail; splat consisting of narrow oval upholstered center flanked by carved double scrolls; conforming bottom rail; turned vasiform stiles with ring turnings and carved cylinders at rails; ball finials; seat with over-the-rail upholstery; single row of metal tacks at edge of back and seat upholstery; turned rear legs; turned front legs with carved blocks at stretchers; turned H-stretcher; and elaborately carved high front stretcher. "903" is handwritten on drawing.
