Elevation titled "Elevation of Drawing Room" rendered in pencil and watercolor. Drawing depicts one wall of a room with a recessed central portion containing two rows with four windows each. The wall has a dark red wallpaper with a rococo floral pattern on the upper portion, a chair rail, and a paneled wainscot painted beige with white accents below. The windows have floor-length dark red drapes held back with cords. A gilt cornice with a central carved shallow dish of flowers and a dark red straight fringed valence are atop the windows. An upholstered sofa is centered in front of the window and has a two-seat form with curved crest rail, scrolling arms, and tapered legs. The upholstery fabric has large baskets of fruit centered beneath each curve of the back. Two dark red throw pillows are on the sofa. Two Federal-style card table flank the couch and have inlaid and veneered decorative elements. Two paintings in gilt frames hang above the card tables. The title, design notes and scale are handprinted on the drawing. Embossed on the lower left corner is "Return to / A. H. Davenport Co. / 96 Washington St. / Boston, Mass."
