Description

Partial roll (.1) and two samples (.2 and .3) of reproduction wallpaper in the "Gore Place" pattern by Waterhouse Wallhangings, Inc. Wallpaper has an all-over pattern of flowers including roses and morning glories. Flowers and trailing foliage are outlined by several rows of very small pindots. Pattern is based on a block-printed French wallpaper dating from 1780-1810 that was hung in the oval dining room at Gore Place in Waltham, Massachusetts. Three colorways are present: 2001.281.877.1 -- Blues, greens, peach, pinks, yellows and white on a cream ground (#139635); 2001.281.877.2 -- Greens, orange, red, and white on a beige ground (#139507): and 2001.281.877.3 -- Blues, pink, red, greens, and white on a green ground (#139623).\n
