Unused sample of reproduction wallpaper in the "Coyle House" pattern (#168190) by Waterhouse Wallhangings, Inc. Wallpaper has a repeating diaper pattern formed by abstracted sprig and flower motifs. Within each void in the grid are a series of graduated horizontal lines forming a diamond. Roller-printed in two pinks, and white on a yellow ground. Pattern is a reproduction of a block-printed paper made by Janes & Bolles in Hartford, CT between 1821 and 1828. Pattern name is derived from the Coyle House in Natchez, MS where an example of the early paper was found.
