Description

Partial panel of the scenic wallpaper "Les voyages d'Anthenor" manufactured by Dufour, Paris, France. The panel depicts an arcade with Corinthian columns and statues on the balustrade. Two young men in classical dress carry spears and a gold drinking horns in the foreground. A large, palm tree to the right of the young men arches over the scene. Block-printed in eight browns, five greens, four blues, pink, peach, three yellows, two tans, seven grays, black, white and three oranges. The ground is blue on the bottom third of the panel and peach for the rest of the panel.
