Subseries B, Papers of Charles Barker (1752-1822), 1797-1821, undated (#2.7, 2.9, C.1.60-C.2.1), contains account books and account sheets; personal correspondence; legal documents; promissory notes; receipts; and a school exercise book in mathematics. The account records, promissory notes, and receipts reflect Barker's daily business and household transactions associated with the running of his estate. The legal documents include a lease for a farm in Falmouth, Maine, and a court summons for Cumberland County in Maine. The subseries is arranged alphabetically by record type, and thereunder chronologically.
