Description

Fragment of stylized floral wallpaper from Eastham, Massachusetts. Wallpaper has all-over, dense pattern of stylized flowers. Roller-printed in brown, red, blue, black and pale yellow on light ochre ground. The "American Wall Paper Manufacturers Association" logo and a pattern number are printed, but only partially visible, in the selvedge. The fragment is affixed to paperboard. Affixed to the other side of the paperboard is another sample of the same pattern in a different colorway (see 2001.281.979.2). The pattern was reproduced by the Warner Company as "Eastham Daisy."\n
