Description

Two unused pieces of reproduction wallpaper in the "Early American Stencil" pattern by Waterhouse Wallhangings, Inc. Wallpaper had a an all-over design of stylized rosettes, palmettes and medallions arranged in a diamond-shaped grid. Pattern is based on a mid-18th century handpainted stencil found in Dedham, Massachusetts. Two colorways are present: 2001.281.784.1 -- Blue on a white ground; and 2001.281.784.2 -- Yellow on a gold ground. Paper is textured to resemble a basketweave fabric.(#105000).
