Six unused pieces of reproduction wallpaper in the "Pillement" pattern by Waterhouse Wallhangings, Inc. Wallpaper has a large-scale pattern of flowering tree branches and leaves. Interspersed throughout the leaves are vignettes depicting Asian scenes including pagodas and people in Asian dress. Pattern is based on the work of 18th-century French artist Jean Pillement. Three distinct colorways are present: 2001.281.762.1 -- multicolor on a green ground (#100329); 2001.281.762.2 and .3 -- multicolor on a cream gorund. 2001.281.762.4-.6 are very dirty and stained; original ground colors are difficult to determine.
