Description

Two unused samples of reproduction wallpaper in the "General Samuel McClellan" pattern by Waterhouse Wallhangings, Inc. Wallpaper has a large-scale coffered design in imitation of plaster work. Large quatrefoils frame trophies composed of drums, flags, horns, pikes and swords. Pattern is based on an English block-printed wallpaper dating from 1770-1780. Two colorways are present: 2001.281.743.1 -- Black and white on a gray ground (#155947): and 2001.281.743.2 -- Blue and white on a green ground (#155945).
