Description

Birch bark wastebasket scraped or etched with design of stylized ferns, feather, trees, circles, hunter with feathered headdress and bow and arrow, and moose or elk. Attributed to Tomah Joseph by donor but may be the work of fellow Passamaquoddy birch bark artist John Snow based on similar examples at the Abbe Museum and Maine State Museum.
