Fragment of unused wallpaper from Centerville, Massachusetts. Renaissance Revival style pattern of interlacing strapwork. Block-printed in white, brown and blue on tan ground. Paper is affixed to and wraps around a piece of paperboard. Associated with Captain Phinney of Centerville.

Phinney" (62 may be Waterhouse reference or index number for this pattern. 1840 is the date Waterhouse associated with manufacture. Parlor is location of paper in the house. Numbers and "Parlor" written in ballpoint, the rest (added later?) by the same hand in pencil.)
