Description

Boston newspaper advertisement for china wares featuring illustration of woman, or "China Lady," with body made of crockery and china. The illustration is part of an advertisement that reads in part: "Britannia, Crockery, Glass, and China Wares. E. B. Mason (Late E. B. McLaughlin) At China Hall, No. 24 Hanover Street, near Court St., Boston." The advertisement was included in a group of newpaper and wallpaper fragments acquired by Dorothy Waterhouse from a Mr. Hayden in Kensington, Massachusetts. The newspaper appear to have been used to prepare the wall for papering. The additional newspaper and wallpaper fragments are located in the wallpaper 8x10 reference file.
