Two fragments of trunk lining from box or chest purchased at auction in Bourne or Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts. Fragment (B) is affixed to paperboard. Floral stripe pattern featuring a very large strawberry with leaves. Waterhouse Wallpaper file refers to this as "Strawberry Stripe." Waterhouse reproduced the paper, see 2001.281.298.2. A smaller stripe runs parallel to the large strawberry stripe with alternating leaves and flower seed pods sprouting from the right side of a straight vine. Laid paper, block-printed in red or pink on mustard ground.
