Description

Unused wallpaper fragment from Barre, Massachusetts. Half of the paper has been affixed to paperboard. Renaissance Revival scenery figure paper. Large-scale scroll and strapwork pattern frames small scenic vignettes, one of an ox wagon and the other of a waterway with cityscape. Scenery figures alternate with themed figures, one of books and a globe and, the other, of pastoral tools and wheat. Paper is roller-printed in dark maroon, dark ochre,and white on ungrounded paper.
