A picture postcard depicting two women sitting on a rock in the ocean at Old Orchard Beach, Maine. One woman waves an American flag. The postcard was never mailed, but on the back is a short poem titled "At Old Orchard - Summer of 1915." The poem reads: "The sea there teems with mermaids fair; / The land with queens of beauteous strain; / I love my home, but oh you kids, / I'm not so lonesome up in Maine!" There is no signature or author's name given.
