Description

Carte de visite album, with one tintype, stamped J. Atkins Noyes, Cambridge, Mass. An inscription on the front reads, "This book was my father's and mother's." Most are identified, and they seem to be the same group of people as in album 79D. Family names shown here are Frothingham, Prescott (including a photo of Col. George Prescott in uniform), Waldo, Holmes, Edes, Noyes and Mason. The album has many interesting, expressive photos of children and babies. Photographers are from New York City, Buffalo, and Brooklyn. Also represented are Ira Bryant from Charlestown, Mass.; Henry Franklin Warren from Waltham, Mass., Benjamin F. Jones from Salem, Mass.; and Allen & Horton from Boston, Mass.
