Description

Bellarmine type. Brownish-tan "orange peel" glaze extends 2/3's the way down sides. Clear glaze to base from this point. Thrown by hand, the sides flare out from base and in at the shoulders. Neck is decorated w/ an embossed "grotesque" (male face). Side has the stamps: [horseshoe shaped appearance]. Rings at lip. Pulled handle. Base has sticker: "From the collection of Joseph Downs".
