Description

Wm and Mary--Queen Anne transitional style. Yoke shaped crest w/ interior "ears" above solid vasi-form splat; scooped back. Shaped stiles w/ bead-molded edges. Splat rail also molded. Stiles terminate in raked-back square rear legs. Flag-shaped rush seat. Block and vasi-turned front legs. Ball and ring stretcher in front. Single plain side stretcher on each side. Dowel stretcher that swells slightly at back. Grain-painted in 19th century. Lacks sign of age.
