Gypsy costume with tambourine and jewelry accessories. Carrie Louisa Stone (1866-1948), wore the gypsy costume at a dance chronicled in the Revere Journal [undated]: "...The Galop Rhapsodie marked the time for the Hungarian Gypsy dance...This dance closed the national dances of the evening...the ladies' costumes were of yellow and red satin profusely trimmed with spangles-heavy necklaces, bracelets, armlets and hair ornaments being worn...all carried tambourines...the costumes were among the finest worn in any of the dances." The article lists all of the dance participants by name. Each of the dancers in the group signed the underside of Carrie Stone's tambourine.
