Description

Black leather traveling trunk with wood banding. Brass caps protect corners and secure wood banding to trunk body. Leather handles on sides, four metal casters on bottom. Brass lock mechanism and clasps with a pair of keys on ring threaded through lock hardware. Trunk interior has open compartment on left and divided compartments on right. Curtained compartment has four extendable brass rods attached to top center (for hangers). Two canvas straps with russet leather caps are attached along sides of compartment to hold clothing in place. Compartment can be partioned off by closing a red velvet curtain with leather covered snap buttons. Right side of trunk has five separate drawers/compartments. Top drawer is divided into five small sections containing: ring of five keys, No. 30 Round rayon hat elastic, and Fleischmann's Mixer's Manual; Second compartment has a drop front and white canvas straps attached to interior; The third, fourth, and fifth compartments are deep drawers. All compartments have brass pulls and red lacquer finish. Drawer bottoms and sides are stained red. Golden yellow fabric lines all interior surfaces.
