Description

Bedspread/coverlet of nearly square form, comprised of four panels, quilted with centeral tulip over heart embroidered with initials and date "LB 1803" enclosed by scrolled feathering, palmettes, floral sprigs, corner leaves, and three-sided half-feather pattern border with hearts in each corner; ground with diagonal line pattern; of navy-blue glazed linen and wool (also known as "linsey-woolsey"); reverse/backed with olive-green wool. (Glaze generally consisted of egg white and water.) Hemmed edges.
