Description

Advertisement for Merchant's Gargling Oil, a health remedy and cure-all. The original liniment, first sold in 1833, was meant to cure anything that could ail a domestic animal. The human version of the liniment was introduced in 1875. The yellow wrappers were for animal, the white wrappers for human flesh.
