Numerous businesses line the street, including the Plaza movie theatre (1120 Columbus Avenue, formerly the Criterion Theatre), Woolworth's (1126 Columbus Avenue), and a liquor store. At the far end of the street, a billboard advertises Schenley's spirits near a railroad bridge with New Haven Railroad painted on it.
