Town houses of James M. Beebe & Gardner Brewer House, covering the John Hancock Estate on Beacon Street, Boston, Mass.


This presentation drawing depicts the front elevation of the French Renaissance double town houses at 29-30 Beacon Street, Boston, Massachusetts, designed by Gridley James Fox Bryant as the homes of James M. Beebe (30 Beacon Street) and Gardner Brewer (29 Beacon Street). The John Hancock House had been located on this site until it was demolished in 1863. These houses were taken down to make way for the expansion of the Massachusetts State House in 1917.
