Description

Lists (not consecutively) the processes involved in the production of woolen cloth - dyeing, spinning, weaving, fulling, and tailoring - carried on at a fulling mill and clothier's shop. Specifies the charges for each type of labor. Farm chores are listed among services charged for at the mill, some as barter. Jobs listed among other business reveal several roofs thatched and a schoolhouse moved. Purchases include foods, ashes, child care and a great variety of others. In the communication (loose pages at end), an Essex Junction (Vermont) Justice of the Peace calls a proprietor's meeting (1791).
