Women's straw hat. Hat is made of natural, woven straw. It has a brim all the way around the crown that is slightly upturned. The crown has a rounded top on the right side and is indented around the top left side. There is a leaf decoration around the top edge of the crown that extends up onto the top of the crown. It is made of a thin cream netting with cream cording to make the outline and details. Inside of the leaves is a cream padding to give the leaves body. There is a cream ribbon running along the bottom edge of the crown that has a third of it folded down over itself. At the front, right side of the hat, there is a cream ribbon detail made by two rows of flattened, folded loops of ribbon fanned on top of each other and a bow at the bottom with three ribbon tails extended out onto the brim. There is a narrow band of stiffened netting extending out from the brim all the way around the brim. On the underside of the hat the stiff netting is only a thin strip that is sewn on around the edge of the brim. The inside of the crown is lined with cream silk and is pleated around the top of the crown and is stitched onto the interior of the bottom of the crown.
