Description

Large ivory silk embroidered shawl with a long fringe. The shawl is square with rounded corners and has fringe around the entire edge. The embroidery is ivory and has a flower, vine, and leaf motif. There are two large areas of heavy embroidery in diagonal corners that have a design with three large flowers. In between the silk background and the fringe is an area of knotted thread. The pattern created by the knots alternates with honeycombs, oblong shapes, honeycombs, larger ovals, honeycombs, oblong shapes, honeycombs, and then ends in the long fringe.
