The top layer is floral black lace, then two layers of pleated black chiffon with black lace trim, followed by a lining of black silk. The elbow length sleeves and jacket hem have scalloped edges. The front of the jacket has two decorative lace ties on either side of the center closure. The lace ties have decorative knot work medallions with hanging tassels attached to the ends. The jacket has a fifteen hook and loop center closure. The interior of the jacket is lined with black silk and has five boning strips around the back and sides of the bodice. The interior of the bodice also has a black silk ribbon attached at the back center that ties around the waist. The back of the jacket has an attached net bow at the back of the neck.
