Two piece taupe colored velvet and silk women's dress with bead and sequin decoration. The jacket style bodice has full length fitted sleeves with lace edging at the cuffs and a strip of beads and sequins around the wrists. The center panel of the bodice is an ivory pleated silk that also forms the stand up collar. The collar has three bands of bead decoration and hooks at the back of the neck. There is bead decoration and clover shaped sequins down the lapels of the jacket and around the waist. The jacket has three layers of hook and loop closures up the front center of the bodice. The inner silk lining has seventeen alternating hook and loop closures. The pleated ivory silk center panel has five hook and loop closures. The top velvet layer has four hook and loop closures. The inner lining has seven strips of boning around the waist. There are "Royal Leicester" arm shields sewn into both arms. The back of the bodice has fitted seams. The beading from the front lapels extends around the back of the collar. There is a gap between the ends of the beading around the waist. The full length taupe colored silk brocade skirt has a fern leaf pattern and velvet trim around the hem. The front edge of the skirt is shorter than the back hem which creates a small train. The shirt closes at the back with four hook and loop closures. There are three round mother of pearl buttons attached to the back of the waistband. The skirt also has a slash pocket along the right seam, just below the hip. Packed with the dress was a long piece of the taupe velvet trim and bodice fabric.
