Description

Two piece ivory satin wedding gown. Bodice [A] has a high stand up collar and fitted full length satin sleeves with ivory organdy trim at the cuffs. The center panel of the bodice is made from pleated ivory organdy and ruffled satin. There is a straight ribbon across the waist and pleated and ruffled ivory organdy overlay over the top of each shoulder. Interior of bodice has eleven strips of boning sewn into the front and sides. Full length ivory satin skirt [B] has a small train. Bottom edge of skirt has been trimmed with ivory satin ribbon and ivory satin and organdy flowers. Skirt fastens at back of waist with four hook and eye closures. The entire gown is lined with ivory colored silk. Anna Pingree Wheatland married Stephen Willard Phillips on June 15, 1899.
