Description

Rug with center stepped diamond medallion in ivory and aqua on rust orange ground. Field surrounding medallion is filled with multi colored palmettes, rosettes, serrated leaves on rust orange ground. Outer field also filed with multi colored palmettes, rosettes, serated leaved on aqua ground. Three narrow borderw of pink rosettes, two on aqua ground, one on ivory. The top end of the rug has straight fringe, the bottom end has knotted fringe.\n Kilims are weft-face rugs woven like tapestries, without a knotted pile. Patterns are made from collored weft threads which are visible on both sides.
