Description

Young barefoot (peasant?) girl walking down the road w/ dog jumping at her side, begging for a bite of her snack. The girl carries a basket on her right arm and a fence is seen behind her near the road. Mounted in a 2 1/2 in. wood and gilt frame.

On the back of the print there are two attachments. The first reads: ""Prang's American Half-Chromos/ Have Patience/ Chromo-lithographed & Published by/ L. Prang & Co./ No. 159 Washington Street...Boston"" The second reads: ""A List of/ Prang's American Chromos,/ June 1, 1868."" [and a list of works follows] At the bottom Prang's ""Journal of Popular Art"" is mentioned.
