Description

Castor set consisting of four bottles in blown, clear glass on a shallow metal stand. .1 = stand, silver-plate over copper. Rectangular base with rounded edges and shallow sides, decorated with pressed band of wary ribbing. Vertical metal frame holds four bottles with finger grip at top. Four ball feet on bottom corners. .2-.5 = Glass condiment bottles, each with all over diagonal dimple pattern. Each with cylindrical body. Each with visible pontil mark. .2a-spice bottle, b. perforated copper lid, domed with finial. .3a-oil/vinegar bottle. Neck shaped to form pouring spout. b. stopper with spherical, fluted finial. .4a - dry condiment bottle with wide neck and flaring rim, b. tall cylindrical lid with spherical finial. .5a- oil/vinegar bottle, neck shaped to form pouring spout. b. stopper with spherical, fluted finial.
