Small wooden trunk from Massachusetts covered in wallpapers. The body of the trunk is covered with a festoon border pattern. Floral festoons and smaller festoons of cord and tassels hang from arches decorated with dots, medallions and fringe on a background of white pindots. Block printed in green, white and pink with mica on a light blue ground. A different, more narrow border paper covers the outer rim of the trunk lid. This paper has a floral vine pattern in which large blooms with foliage are joined by a woody vine. Behind the flowers are vertical lines and above them a band of bead and reel figures in imitation of architectural molding. The top of the trunk is covered with a plain light blue paper decorated with decoupage flowers and framed with a narrow wallpaper bead border. The inside of trunk is lined with marblized paper.
