Description

Liverpool pitcher with c-shaped handle and black transfer-printed decoration. Pitcher split (broken) into two pieces. One side of pitcher with gentlemen, priest and angel standing around memorial of George Washington. Around image are the names of the thirteen original colonies. Other side also with image of memorial of George Washington with eagle and female mourner. Title "Washington in Glory/ America in Tears" inscribed around this image. Herculaneum pottery mark between two images iwth eagle and banner.
