Historical/Biographical Note

Historical/Biographical Note

The Halliday Historic Photograph Company was a Boston firm specializing in the commercial sale of architectural and scenic views whose emphasis is primarily on buildings and sites of picturesque or associational interest as relics of New England's Colonial past. Active from the 1890s until the 1930s, the quality of the firm's work was unusually high, both pictorially and for its documentary dependability.
