Description

"Shakspeare(sic)/ Winter's Tale/ Act IV. Scene III." Outdoor group scene w/ a maiden, Perdita, presenting herbs to King Polixenes seated at left. Prince Florizel wearing plumed hat holds Perdita's elbow. Dog in foreground. Background shows couples in peasant dress dancing. Beneath image is inscription (see Inscription). Frame= gold leaf over wood and gesso, beading; egg and dart surround.
