Description

Long pole club with a flattened, flared head with scalloped egdes, from the Cook Islands (probably Rarotonga or Atiu). Dark, polished wood. At the base of the club head are four small protruding ovals, and the base of the handle has a phallic shape. The tip of the club is pointed. The pole club would have been used as a weapon.
